next to fixing little glitches this version has an enhanced render engine for
Garmin maps using typ files. So far polylines where done 100% as vector lines
in QLandkarte. Garmin however never used vector lines but bitmap lines. That
doesn't look pretty (no smoothing) and it's potential speed exhaustive on a
PC, but it allows you to define any kind of fancy line style.
QLandkarte tried to interpret these fancy lines as vector line with border,
color and stipple. On more complex lines this failed miserably. But vector
lines are speedy.
I could have lived with that, if there wasn't a constant request from map
makers to do these bitmap lines. Finally, as these maps are really nice, I
decided to do it. Despite the performance hit. And this can be rough if all
lines are defined as bitmap in a typ.
To let the user choose between beauty and performance I added a configuration
dialog that can be summoned with a right mouse button click on the active map
in the map list.
And if you still do not understand up to now what I am talking about have a
Garmin Maps: Draw lines with bitmaps form \*typ file
Add feature selection for Garmin maps. (context menu in the map list)
Many small fixes for typ file icon decoding
Crash on missing map
Map switching: Keep center of map if it is within the area of the new map.
Garmin maps: show type ids for polygons and points in info box
