anyway, i think that linux should support obsolete printers as
well. if it is possible to improve things it is worth doing it.

that is the easies thing and i am going to suggest that to mu father :)
(it's his printer).
but amyway i'd like to improve pnm2ppa.

i'll do that as well.
what would be your recomendation?
it should be low cost, but photo quality (my father is
still an analog photograph who works mostly with slides)
and somehow he likes the hp printers ...
