At a guess (given that you don't mention it), you're running 1.3.0 or
1.3.1 (or thereabouts), using Jrobin as your RRD strategy.  If so, use
\\\\l instead.  Later versions of ONMS will automatically translate \\n
for you.

I think once you tag it for deletion in the GUI, its removed from the =
GUI but its still in the dbase until its removed by an automation.
The entry should be marked for deletion. Verify that it is.

I'm running 1.3.2-1 on a RedHat Enterprise ES 4 box.

When I delete a node from the system using the web UI, it removes the=20
node from the UI, but continues to collect and poll the node.

I've tried restarting all components of the system, but this doesn't=20
help.  In particular, I'm worried about the continuous collection of the

snmp data via collectd.

Has anybody else run into this situation?

The collectd.log shows the data collection happening every 5 minutes.&nbsp;
It's a lot of DEBUG and INFO output showing what OID's are being
collected and what rrd files they're stored in.&nbsp; I don't see anything
in there that would indicate an problem or issue.<br>

The collectd.log shows the data collection happening every 5 minutes.
It's a lot of DEBUG and INFO output showing what OID's are being
collected and what rrd files they're stored in.  I don't see anything in
there that would indicate an problem or issue.

Fred,

This is a problem.  There really isn't a "good" way, right now.... =20
let's start with figuring out what the majority of events are in your DB
and stopping this from happening.


    select eventuei, count(*) as tally
      from events
     where eventtime > now() - interval '7 days'
  group by eventuei
  order by tally desc
     limit 20;


We need to figure this out before we attack cleaning up the DB so that
the problem doesn't perpetuate itself.
