When trying to deliver simple GIF or JPEG image banners, I just receive a broken image symbol and when clicking on it I get an URL like 'http://localhost/?s=55&c=42', what could this be caused by? The banner, by the way is displayed properly in the management interface's preview option and the campaign is assigned and scheduled correctly, too. -- Regards, Bjoern Wilmsmann |

Not too many creatives active (less than 100) but a fair amount of traffic (on the order of 100 ad requests per second). -- Karl DeBisschop <kde...@al...> Pearson Education/Information Please |

Hello. I am recieving the following error on a Red Hat 9 server running PHP 4.2 after adding numerouc creatives: Error loading shm OAS2: Warning: Releasing SysV semaphore id 8 key 0x4f410001 in request cleanup in Unknown on line 0 I am positive that the hourly and minutely maintenance scripts are being invoked correctly when the web server is stopped and started. Oasis works flawlessly until we start to add many creatives. At this point I am open to suggestions but would really like to know the following: 1. Is it safe to add many creatives to the Creative table through external scripts and does it matter if Oasis is stopped or running ? What other tables if any need updating? What are the gotchas for doing this ? 2. Is this error being caused because there is not enough shared memory? I increased the limits in /proc/sys/kernel/shm* to allow for 128mb of shared memory but I am not sure if we are running out of shared memory. How can I tell? Top says that we havbe 96mb of memory free all the time You can view my PHP config here: http://morehits.com/ Is anybody else running this on Red Hat 9 ? Thanks for your time and patience. This weekend I posted a message to this list about using oasis on Red Hat 8.0. Someone responded; however I inadvertently deleted it while purging spam. Could the sender please resend the message. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the goof-up. AJ |

Has anyone had any success installing oasis on RedHat 8.0? In the Oasis.pdf it states that all of the packages can be installed via rpm; however in looking through the installation instructions it appears to be indicating how to install from source. It also seems to indicate how to install on apache 1.3 versus apache 2.x which shipped with RedHat 8. Thanks for any and all suggestions or answers. AJ |

The logs are used to update the mysql database with your statistics. They should be automatically gzipped and archived. I guess the answer is "serve less ads", to limit the amount of data being logged :) You should be able to back up the gz files and blow them away. If it's the admin logs you're talking about, that could point to other problems. hth, dug charles wrote: >Hi everyone. Is anyone else having problem with the IFRAME/JS integration method working (or rather not working) in Netscape? I can supply more details - but wanted a "handsup" first to see if I am the only one who adverts aren't working in Netscape for. Thanks Dean |
