I am using the Broadcom Corporation Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN card, with the (
bcmwl5.inf ) windows driver downloaded from the dell website, along with
ndiswrapper-1.34. I am using Fedora Core 6 with kernel 2.6.18-2869.
Everything is working fine, with a small amount of delay observed during the
re-association to the new access point.
When i do a forceful association with iwconfig, The ndiswrapper receives a
NDIS_STATUS_MEDIA_DISCONNECT status and after a delay of approximately 490
ms, it receives a NDIS_STATUS_MEDIA_CONNECT status, which directly inform
the kernel to block/unblock the outgoing packets on this card.
But to my experiments, this delay of 490ms is proving very costly. Is there
a way to reduce this delay from ndiswrapper?
Has anyone observed this delay ever?
Please help me in fixing this delay.
Many thanks in advance.
