The mailing list subscription information is on http://www.mondorescue.co=
m/feedback.html, beneath the line, "To join the Mondo mailing list, go he=
re to (un)subscribe:-"
If you're reading this, you're on the list. ;-)
On the web page, above the line I have just quoted, you will find the fol=
lowing paragraph:-
"When you e-mail the list, please tell us your Linux distribution, what y=
our backup device is, what command you used ('mondoarchive .........') an=
d please enclose the relevant portion of the log in the e-mail."
When mondoarchive or mondorestore terminates, it says:-
"Author can and will render assistance only to users who include a gzippe=
d copy of [path of logfile]."
At the moment, the users are notified two to three lines above the only p=
lace on the website where they may obtain information on joining the mail=
ing list. In other words, if they are e-mailing the mailing list, they mu=
st (surely?) have read that paragraph. I appreciate that most users are w=
illing to respect the wishes of the devteam. Some newcomers are not getti=
ng the message, however. If any members of the mailing list would like to=
speak up and suggest ways that the message could be communicated to new =
users more effectively than at present, please do speak up.
