In response to bug reports nos. 3075616 and 3088045, I've published a
mingw-get-0.1-alpha-5 release, coupled with a rebuild of mingw-get-inst;
this should make the last-rites processing significantly more robust.
I did experience a few problems building mingw-get-inst-20101030:
* Running under Wine, ISCC-5.3.11(u)/ISPP-5.3.9(u) chokes on assignment
of an application icon. Okay: Wine isn't perfect; issue resolved by
migrating to WinXP under VirtualBox.
* Both under Wine, and on VirtualBox-WinXP, ran foul of the missing
semicolon issue reported as bug-3088045; resolved by modification of
the source, to add the missing punctuation. Should we add this source
* Wasn't able to create a new FRS subdirectory within the existing
"Automated MinGW Installer/mingw-get-inst" hierarchy -- logged in as me,
permission was denied. Temporarily uploaded into a new directory at
"Automated MinGW Installer/mingw-get-inst-20101030". Chuck, are you
able to resolve the permissions issue, or do we need SF intervention?
