I'd argue it's more of an improvement to navigation to have menus that
know where you are, to be able to see the URL for the page you're
currently viewing in the URL bar, and to have bookmarks and external links
always work as you'd expect.
None of the competing wikis use frames anyway, so it would only be a point
of debate were s.b.o. to be redesigned.
