I hope all went well with the CVS fixes, no more compile errors?
When making .idf files one important thing is the
'mode' and 'drum' keywords.
These determine when, and if, a particular patch
shows up in the 'Select instrument patch' list
in muse's midi track info panel.
The muse 'Song type' plays a very important role here.
Only patches which match the song type will show in the list.
If the song type is 'GM' for example, then only patches
which have the 'GM' checkbox set (in the instrument editor)
will show up in the list.
Also, only patches with the 'Drum' checkbox set will
show up in the list for a drum track.
Make sure any drum patches have that setting, or they won't
show up in the list.
You should take a look some of the existing instruments,
in the instrument editor, just to get a feel for how it works,
then try changing 'Song type' to see how some patches
will disappear from the 'Select instrument patch' list,
while others will appear.
Admittedly, some of the existing instruments simply have
ALL of the checkboxes set. There are so many instruments
that I couldn't verify them all.
Try the Korg NS5R for example, it has a variety of settings.
This is important stuff, particularly if you submit your .idf files
later for others to use.
