Hi all,
Anjuta 0.1.7 has been released. This is a stable release of anjuta
following the previous 0.1.6 stable release recently. Many of the vital
bugs in 0.1.6, regarding the application wizards and the project
management, have been fixed.
To get the detailed announcement of this versatile gnome IDE, please
visit http://anjuta.sourceforge.net/.
Don't forget to drop a mail to me to tell how you like the latest stable
release. To report bugs and other project related stuff, please send the
mails in the anjuta mailing list (not to me), because there is higher
chances of getting the mails replied there.
Anjuta IDE has been under heavy development recently, In fact, the last
gnome development review put it in the first 20 most active modules (out
of some 300 modules).
If you people care, the next developmental leap will start with anjuta2
(the next generation) targeted for the gnome2 scheduled to be released
on the late December this year.
The anjuta2 architecture will be built on top of the BONOBO component
system - the recent break through in object embedding and sharing.
While anjuta2 development goes through it's development, the current
anjuta-1.x serie will continue on it's own, untill, of course, the
anjuta2 is ready for shipment with gnome2. anjuta-1.x series will be
deprecated there onwards.
I hope I haven't bored you enough.:-) I though this might be something
interesting to some of the people in this list.

Regards,
-Naba

Some people have a great ambition: to build something
that will last, at least until they've finished building it.
