Keep the board off the box for now.

I don't have na enclosure for the board (yet), so I can't be
Of much assistance, Erich will surely reply.

Ok, using a simple USB CF-adapter, I repartition and format the CF
with Windows XP. Then I download the ZIP version of syslinux, which
includes a syslinux.EXE (don't just type syslinux, that will run the
.COM version which does not work under Windows).
First thing reconfigure the WRAP serial port to 38400 baud
Download the latest Beta floppy image from
You will need to change a few configuration files, that are not very
Easy to do with Windows.
I recommend using 'Total Commander'(TC) to open and edit the TGZ files.
- edit 'syslinux.cfg' and 'leaf.cfg' according to our user guides
- copy the etc.LRP to your harddisk and rename it to TGZ
- open the file with (TC) and
- edit '/etc/inittab' to enable serial and remove standard consoles
- edit '/etc/securetty' remove all ports except ttyS0
Close etc.TGZ, saving all the changes, rename back to .LRP.
After that, grab initrd_ide.lrp from our package repository and
Copy all files from the floppy to the CF, include new etc.lrp and
Initrd.lrp (previously named initrd_ide.lrp)
Hopefully boot your new WRAP board and configure the rest of the system.
Don't forget to change the softdog.o for wd1100.o watchdog modules, you'll
Need to get the wd1100.o from the modules tarball.
Hope this helps a bit.
P.s. i'm going away for a two week vacation, meanwhile another developer or
User will eventually step in if I have said a huge lie :):):)
