Its pretty easy actually. but first, you need to make sure you have ant
and put the path to the ant bin directory in your path,
ANT_HOME=c:\path\to\ant ( or ANT_HOME=/path/to/ant;export ANT_HOME,
setenv ANT_HOME /path/to/ant )
and set up JAVA_HOME to the path to java the same way.
Teodor has done a great job of making things easy. to run the demos,
just cd to them from your command prompt ( shell prompt).
the distro I have allready has the class files, so you do not need to
type 'ant javac' and the .jasper files are there, so you do not need to
type 'ant compile'.
From there, you can look at the 'targets' in the build.xml file and
choose. for example to get the default, just 'ant run' should work in
most of the sample dirs, and 'ant view' will pop up a report viewer.
after that, I would recommend looking at the fourms on sourceforge,
there are a lot of good anwers to many questions, and the included docs
are good to.
