I'm trying to get tv-out working on my PVR 350 (PAL standard) using the latest CVS ivtv sources. I've tried the instructions from an earlier posting by Bjoern Butscher but with no luck. I did the following: I've changed line 1121 in "ivtv-api.c" from: data[0] = type; /*type: 0 = mpeg */ to data[0] = 1; Recompiled, then used 'modprobe saa7127 pal=1 enable_output=1' to load the saa7127.o module and then loaded ivtv. Next typed 'cat /dev/video0 >/dev/null' to get things rolling. However, the 'cat' ends with an Input/output error, and all I can see on the TV are some flickering lines. Loading saa7127 with the test image works fine, though. Does anyone have any suggestions? It could be related to the fact that 'cat /dev/video0' is not working. If no one has an easy fix I'll dig in myself. Regards, Hans Verkuil |

hi! I have with me "Hauppauge Win-TV-PVR-250" card. I also have 2.4.21 (Mandrake-9.1) kernel running. As per instruction i could load the following modules. insmod i2c-core insmod i2c-algo-bit insmod tuner type=2 insmod msp3400.o insmod videodev insmod saa7115.o But when iam trying to load "insmod ivtv.o" I get following errors. Using /lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o: init_module: No such device I've created the /dev/video0 device using # mknod /dev/video0 c /lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o81 0 so what could be the problem ? thx in advance.
