What do you mean by "following up with the driver author"? Sorry about
my poor english. Do you mean I should contact the author (which seems
to be someone at VIA Technologies, inc).

No. I just activated IR Port. Don't know if there's a way to activate

Wasn't sure what you mean. The only places where the string
"OBEX:IrXfer" appeared were ircp_client.c and ircp_server.c. So I
tried to change them to "OBEX" without success. Or is there a special
./configure parameter or smth similar?
