Cofirmed, can you open a bug report for it?  I suspect the "destroy" 
handler isn't looked up for the trace dialog.

would it possible to add keyboard shortcuts to align actions. I thikn such 
shortcuts might be useful because aligning is one of the most often used 
actions when creating vector graphics and necessity to press ctrl+a and then 
move mouse and then click in order to align objects is IMHO just not 
user-friendly. would it be possible to add shortcuts for align? i come from 
the "corel-country" and i'm used to C(enter-horizontally),
(c)E(nter-verically),T(op),B(ottom),R(ight),L(eft) keys. unfortunately they 
are mostly reserved for other actions (i.e elipse, rectangle etc). but that's 
not a problem i could swith to other keys :-)

since i use inkscape mostly for designing website layouts my second question 
is: would it be possible to add pixel as another unit? it would made 
exporting images of certain size easier (read: it would made my, and 
hopefully also others' life easier :-)

Try:

./configure --static-libs=yes  --with-shared-libs=no

I do the opposite in RPM builds.

Hi, I'm attaching an updated spanish .po file.
  I changed all "Trace" (verb) to "Vectorizar" to avoid confusion

  For some reason when I do "cvs update" I don't get some of the
directories: src/traits, src/trace and several more.

information. Unfortunately the existing backend is not available from

I noticed that the code in the drag-n-drop for input is a copy-n-paste 
duplicate of code that used to be in file.cpp. At the moment it's 
duplicated by the extension mechanism, so we get two different code 
paths executed for dragging a file onto a doc versus importing a file 
via File|Import... menu item.

I was thinking that these should be changed, with the duplicated (and 
stale) code in interface.cpp removed and calling that in file.cpp. Are 
there any subtlties I might be missing in here, or is it just a classic 
rogue tile bug pattern and in bad need of that cleanup?

I believe that doesn't work.  I believe that just controls whether to
build shared libraries rather than whether to link against shared or
static libs.

For the libraries where we use pkg-config, someone suggested changing
one's .pc file to use the libfoo.a file instead of -lfoo.

For the libraries that are named explicitly in Makefile.am, you can
similarly change -lfoo to /usr/lib/libfoo.a.
