What exactly is an "external SOAP gateway"? I assume you're wanting to
send a SOAP query to the gumstix and have it return a SOAP result?
SOAP isn't really any more than a standard of returning data from a
program in an XML format. So, if you want to query your gumstix through
a network using the SOAP protocols, you simply need to write a program
on your gumstix that returns an appropriate set of XML data that
complies with the SOAP formats.
Getting your application to return SOAP XML is easy... you can either
use a pre-developed SOAP lib to generate the appropriate XML data, or
you can simply return the XML data yourself without libs. It doesn't
have to be very complex.
