Thank you for pointing this out, it is for sources on secondary objects.
In fact, References tab only displays top level objects (primary).
If you have a source on address, name, attribute, then unfortunatly References tab will only display the top level: person... :(
I also got this problem when I moved some attributes with sources from individuals. Maybe we need to make a feature request on bug-tracker because this could happen with every primary objects not linked with an other primary object or object reference.
