I am searching for the best way to save a dataset produced by my simulation
My problem is that I want to plot a "rescaled density profile". The Dataset
looks like the following:
all strings are replaced by the simulation values.
0 length length2 length3
x1 rho(t1,x1) rho(t2,x1) rho(t3,x1)
x2 rho(t1,x2) rho(t2,x2) rho(t3,x2)
x3 rho(t1,x3) rho(t2,x3) rho(t3,x3)
x4 rho(t1, x4) rho(t1,x4) rho(t2,x4)
I can plot the unscaled density profile at time 3 by plotting ' plot
"./datfile" u 1:4'
But now i want to rescale my x-axis to 0-1. That means I want to ' plot
"./datfile" u ($1/length3) : 4'
Do one of you have any idea how to do it?
As alternative I have the length written in a second file looking like the
# time length number ....
But I have no idea how to access it. If you have an idea how to solve it,
or how i could arrange the datas differently to solve my problem, I would
be very happy about your answer.
Thank you very much benni
