Ah yes that nasty case - in fact I overlooked that one at first when I =
was working on a general vertex shader accelerated method which would =
work on all geometry cases which took a bit of figuring out! But that's =
handy if this method works on concave objects as well at all times (I =
confused myself with cases where it would seemingly generate self =
intersecting shadow volumes but I assume it all comes out in the mix).

No, concave mesh is fine. Another thing to watch out for though is more
than two faces sharing one edge.
