I mentioned a couple of days ago that I lost my root drive, but nothing in
the Gallery was changed.
Upon reinstall, I had to reconfigure to get it all to work, but it didn't
work like I planned. The first page was only returning zero bytes and the
connection was slammed shut. Any direct URL to an album did the same.
After trying to hack my version (1.2.5) and not figuring it out, I upgraded
I initally thought it was related to the log error of GALLERY_BASEDIR not
being defined. No, the FAQ 4.20 wasn't very explicit, and the messages I
was able to find didn't point out what was wrong either. Simply "ignore
it." (IMHO, I think the FAQ should be changed to reflect also the log
message, as I was not experiencing the problem of the message appearing on
Anyway, I moved my albums to another dir, created a new 'albums' dir, then
ran the setup again. Wallah. Empty directory, no problems. It even worked
for the old version (which I kept in 'gallery.old')
I moved over a dozen or so galleries, and they seemed to work. I moved my
old .users files (or the ones I wanted to keep) and the perms were kept
However, when I moved over more then 40 albums, it broke again. I'm fine
with the first pile, they browse, edit and work flawlessly, but the other
85 albums are crippled somehow.
I have batch 0?, 1?, 2? and 3? working, noticed 4? broke and also observed
5? broke (I'm referring to 0-9, as a set of 10 albums)
I have not yet looked into the specific problem, but I figured I'd post here
in case someone else has any clue. I doubt it's a number, but instead expect
something inside one of those albums to be corrupt. I'm about to start moving
them over one at a time to see which ONE breaks.
And, as a side note, the albums I have over 99 have the name 'albun01' with
an 'n' instead of an 'm'. Is this still portable to the 1.3 code?
