Unfortunately, besides generating .stl files, I'm afraid pretty much none of
the features you mention is already present in FreeCAD. The application is
still very young and a lot of advanced features still hasn't been
implemented. We are still a long way to rivalize with ProE or Solidworks...
But surely the best way to see if it fits you is to try for yourself... It's
pretty easy to install from the ubuntu software center (or using the PPA if
you want a more bleedig edge version, see
