Did you happen to force-overwrite the libltdl files during the update 
of ImageMagick?  If you did, then try reinstalling libtool14-shlibs.

No I didn't, but I removed gnucash*, then libtool14* and installed
imageMagick-5. Then I installed imageMagicg-6, then gnucash*.

In any case I rebuild libtool14-shlibs, unfortunately without
success

As it turns out, this is a nice example for the dreaded Xcode-1.5 bug 
that is mentioned on the Fink home page. You canot compile gdl with the 
g++ compiler from Xcode-1.5. Go back to the one from Xcode-1.2.
