e17 will also feature scripting support by means of ferite - http://www.ferite.org.
There is some documentation in the form of pdf, postscript or staroffice word on
http://dox.ferite.org. In summary ferite is a highly extensible lightweigth scripting engine
- it's sole purpose in life is to sit in other applications and provide a powerfull system.
It tastes a bit like C, Java and Perl and can be very easily extened by means of native
modules (dynamically loaded libraries). It also happens to be pretty quick :)
regards
chris
ps. for those of you interested it's been in development for just about a year now :)
pps. forgive the email client, work dictates it =/
