EGroupware Enterprise Collaboration

Hi,

I am a new would-be user of eGroupware. I am using Ubuntu 7.10 with mysql and
apache installed. I downloaded and unpacked eGW and pointed my browser (Firefox)
at the appropriate location and started by testing the installation. I got
errors as sdet out in the installation test report below. My understanding is
that this indictates that mysqld is not running. I checked the process list (ls
-A) and sure enough mysqld was not on the list. I used services-admin to check
the status of running services and manually started mysqld. According to the
process list below it is now running. But still the installation check fails.
Can someone suggest why this is? Or perhaps refer me to documentation i can read
on this issue?

Since updating via SVN, In infolog I can no longer see the complete list of
users inorder to delegate. It only shows the first 67 accounts (which
includes groups as its alphabetically listed)... we have over 400 accounts
in the system. I use LDAP for all accounts. Major glitch as far as im
concerned and I have not changed any settings within eGW. Perhaps the
changes which Lars made to LDAP connectivity caused the problem? I really
dont know?


Anyone else see this error?

Hi,

I am sorry my messages reached the List multiple times. Nabble wasn't
working and I didn't know that.
I had good reasons to believe, that some moderation was not accepting my
mails, which I will not explain here in detail.

If I am blamed for using nabble, it should be turned off. I think the
majority of the users does, most developers do not.

In nabble I did not see many of the other answers, so I  got a wrong
impression about the discussion in some way.

I already stated my opion about the interview.

Hi community,
I'm currently experiencing the same problem like described here before a
couple of times:
Some of my user accounts are hidden. I can't see them anymore but the are in
the database. The do not appear in the admins user accounts screen nor on
any other screens like in the task delegation list of the infolog app.

Reading the forum I tried to repair all tables and I manually reestablished
links from the egw_accounts to egw_addressbook - without success. Accounts
are still hidden.

Next step was to trace the SQL SELECT queries to see what eGW is actually
asking the database for. I discovered the responsible query in the mysql
logfile:

egw_addressbook.*,account_lid,account_type,egw_accounts.account_id FROM
egw_addressbook  RIGHT JOIN egw_accounts ON
egw_accounts.account_id=egw_addressbook.account_id WHERE contact_private=0
AND egw_addressbook.contact_owner=0 ORDER BY account_lid ASC LIMIT 0,30
If I omit the complete WHERE clause all account entries are selected. If I
insert either one of the two WHERE conditions some accounts are still
missing. The missing user accounts to not have private contacts. The linked
contacts are assigned to group address books.

I'm not able to interpret the WHERE conditions. So where is my problem? What
did I do wrong and what do I need to do to show alle user accounts to the
admin?
