I am not realy sure.. i saw this in the vdr device class and that
dvb-ff cards are using it, i will ask them.

Ok... vdr has the option to use 16:9 or 4:3 and it is used in the

vdr also handels this.. in vdr i can set if i want letterbox, pan &
scan or center_cut_out.
And the dvb driver as one single ioctl to set one of the modes.
