related titles. Background: I run Windows 2000; I use Dev-C++ v.4, the
My problem is twofold:
1) When I run my program through the "Execute" command within Dev-C++, it
refuses to use the working directory I've given it under "Environment
options," and instead appears to use the directory that Dev-C++ itself
lives in. (Consequently, it's unable to find the input file it needs,
which is in the other directory.) I have checked the box "run file in same
directory as executable"; no executable for my program ever appears in the

the proper folder, it runs in that directory as instructed. When I delete
this executable and recompile through Dev-C++, it puts the executable right
back in this proper folder.
