i am trying to use courier-imap with qmail and vpopmail=20

Escape character is '^]'.

Possibly the $HOME directory for that account does not exist. Have a look in
your mail syslog file (possibly /var/log/maillog) for any recorded message.

[Courier-imap] authentication problem

hi   ,

I have a Red Hat linux box installed having following working

1)courier-imap installed daemon working ....telnet to port 143 fine.

2)-a )squirrelmail installed and configured (config.pl) to authenticate it 
from thie ldap server (local machine).
   b)Authentication from personal address book also enabled in local 
addressbook.
3) The file courier-imap / authlib / authldaprc  is modified to contain the 
information of our ldap server.


The problem is , authentication via courier imap to ldap is taking not place 
.
somehow courier imap is not able to get connected to the ldap or is 
misconfigured .


Please tell  how to configure courier with ldap

and how to check if configured properly
