Thank you very much for the help. I installed it
using the installer program provided and it booted up
fine. Excellent job on the enhancements to the user
interface, by the way.
However, I tried the Ubuntu installation again, and at
the point where it crashed before, it still crashes,
although this time it gives me an error after it dies
and before it dumps me to the DOS prompt again:
colinux: Linux VM terminated
colinux: BUG at
/home/hn/CoLinux/build/henryn-devel/linux-2.6.12-source/mm/:493
I was attempting to do dpkg --configure -a to get the
gnome-panel working. I had similar problems before,
all dealing with packages that either dealt with power
management or VESA, usually requiring me to wipe out
some files in the /etc/rc*.d directories - not a very
nice solution but it worked at the time until this.
Thank you again for any assistance you can provide, as
well as the assistance you just provided, this has
been stumping me for quite a while.
