There was somebody who was looking into doing this, but unfortunately I
haven't heard back from him in a while. He made quite a bit of progress,
but in the end lost access to a machine with both ClearCase and a web
I'd love to see ClearCase support in Codestriker someday, if you are
interested into looking at that later on, and/or continuing his work,
please let me know.

I think what would be ideal is for the renderer to be modified so that if
it is rendering a file which is nothing more than a complete "add", then
to make better use of the real-estate, as you say. I'd prefer not to
introduce different modes - just to optimise the display, so it can be
re-used even in the diff case.
We should be able to do a similar change for a complete "remove" too.
It might be as simple, as just customising the table widths in this case.
