Ah but I had a couple of Years out before uni so I'd put him at 26 being
born in 1978 where I was born in 1977.

I'm fairly sure mike had a year out before starting uni, which means he
has over a year on me, but I could be wrong. Mind you, I was away on a
course recently and had to show someone my driving licence to prove I
was older than the _nineteen_ that they had estimated.
So you'd be forgiven for thinking that Mike was younger...
