I'd like to build some FreeBSD ports for clocc (for personal use
first). However, I'll have to tell the ports system a URL where it can
find the sources. Unfortunatly, the following constraints would have
to be satisfied:
- Must be a http:// or ftp:// URL. CVS won't work.
- The URL should not change, for obvious reasons.
- The contents of the downloaded files shouldn't either, because they
are checked against an MD5 hash.
Points two and three rule out the nightly builds. The direct download
links for port and cllib point to zip files without a version number
in their names, so I guess on an update I will run into trouble with
Do I miss anything obvious? If not, may I suggest that you either keep
old nightly builds, or make stuff available via the sourceforge
download mirrors, as mk-defsystem already is?
