Is this perhaps something that should go into CEDET?

Maybe it could be made the new default value.
Saving the cache in the source directories always annoyed me, and it
seems im not the only one. I tried it on w32 as well as linux.

Hi,

  I don't mind making storing of the cache files in a ~/.semanticdb
directory the default.  It does seem to be the thing everyone wants to
do.  I particularly like Joakim's separation between project and
system files in that directory.

  One thing that is missing is a simple algorithm to scan the
.semanticdb caches and find files that no longer match up with
existing directories.  One of the nice things of having the cache
files next to the files that created them is that they get copied,
moved, and deleted along with the accompanying sources.  It would
simply be nice to help out users by also having the ability to
automatically clean up after ourselves too.

  If someone would like to make a patch for the switching of the
defaults and perhaps the above cleanup code, I'd be happy to merge it.

I cannot checkout the sources.  If I do exactly as the sourceforge

Ok, the sourceforge CVS works again and I installed the current HEAD.  I
tried to reproduce the problem using the same recipe, but it seems to
work now.  Thanks a lot for the quick fix.
