Yes. I would install most all packages - saves you time down the road.

Daniel:
That looks exactly like what I was looking for - the last time I did
cacti, I had to do it from source.
Assuming that I follow this procedure, should I go ahead and install
MYSQL, PHP and HTTPD as part of the FC3 base install???

Subject: RE: [cacti-user] Cacti and FC3
I know the subject of the thread is FC4, but the steps that are shown
in
the link below is using the FC3 RPMs. I'm not sure what version of
Cacti
you are running, but the example goes through the install of 8.6d:
http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=8067
To be honest with you, I recently upgraded from Red Hat 9.0 to FC4 and
the Cacti install was the same for both operating systems. I don't
really see there being any difference with the commands - FC3 should
come with all the packages you need.

Good Morning Daniel:
My reason for using FC3 is that I know that very well-- its my
production environment, and I have not had time to be testing FC 4
yet.
I want to get to it, but I need to get this server up to track in on
my
network and this is not time to be experimenting

Is there any reason why you're going with FC3 and not FC4? I recently
upgraded to FC4, with cacti-0.8.6e and cactid-8.6e, and I've had no
problems at all.
Just my 2 cents.

Good Morning:
I am preparing to set my cacti server up again, however I am now
running
FC3. Previously when using FC2, I used Lee Carters excellent
tutorial,
but I was wondering if there was an equivalent tutorial for FC3 with
updated commands etc for new versions of the programs etc
Thanks
