Hello Everyone,
I wanted to note here for those who had not noticed already that I have
*replaced* the blitz-0.10 tarball from June 27 with a new tarball dated
July 3. I felt compelled to do this because of several glaring errors
and oversights with my admittedly rushed release on June 27. The biggest
problem was that I forgot to update the Blitz++ Makefile to include the
new Blitz-VS2010.zip file in the tarball. This file contains all the
support files for building Blitz++ projects under MS Visual Studio 2010.
There were some other critical problems involving updates to the
licensing required for using Blitz++ with other software packages. I
apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Normally I would have
just generated a new version number, but in this case it seemed
important to have the 0.10 release (the first in almost seven years!) be
relatively complete and fully functional. So if you happened to have
downloaded blitz-0.10 between June 27 and July 3, I would suggest that
you download it again. The previous tarball has been removed from the
website and will not be supported. Future updates to the features and
documentation of blitz-0.10 will continue with versions 0.10.1, 0.10.2,
and so on.
Thanks, Julian C.
