Hi
as long as both files are the same type I would have thought select the
second then ctrl+c and paste ctrl+v at end of first file ,select the lot and
save as mp3 ,wav or the type you want, then close audacity and no save the
old ones they will be as they were before. Then reopen audacity and open the
file you just saved .
THANKYOU DAVE-211

Bonjour,
I am facing a strange problem with audacity 1.3.9 under linux fedora 10.
I want to paste two audio files together, so:
1 I open the two files in audacity, I select all the second file, copy
it then paste it in the first file.
2 I save the project.
So far so good: I can read the "new" first file, I can export it and
when I close the project audacity does not complain.
Problems occur when I want to re-open the 1+2 file:
1- audacity verify the file and find some problems which are supposed to
be safely repaired (this is what audacity alleges) and when I click on
the button....
2- another dialog box opens saying that there are some orphan blocks
which must be cleared and replaced by silent.....
and my work is lost because the orphan blocks replaced by silent are a
little more than the whole second file I wanted to paste, so the end of
the first file is also lost!
If I accept to definitively replace the orphan blocks by silence and
save the file, the next time I open it, audacity is stuck....
What's wrong?
Thanks for your lights.
