Well, it turns out there was a regression in the Mac 1.2.5 PPC  
build.  So maybe we should consider 1.2.5b - or would calling it  
1.2.6 confuse users less?

Hi.
I implemented the paulstretch effect for audacity and attached it as a patch to
the current audacity cvs.
You can find the effect in the effects menu. 
Usage:
Select the portion which you want to stretch (it may be in middle of the notes,
because it doesn't add clicks on the edges of the selection).

The controls are:
"Stretch amount" - how many times do you want to stretch. It must be larger
than one and sounds better on larger values (unlike other time stretching
effects, which above certain value it starts to sound ugly).
"Time resolution" - this controls the trade-off between the time resolution and
frequency resolution. On bigger value, the notes's time are spread, and on
smaller values the frequencies are spread more. If the notes are long, you can
use larger values like 0.7-1 seconds. Also, on very, very large values (like 2
sconds or more) can be used to transform any music into something like a
soundscape. 

The effect sounds best on choirs and orchestras.

You know, in some ways it's a lot less work to release both versions  
together.  It's a lot of builds, but it's easier to update the site  
all at once.

Maybe we could try to fix the major bugs in 1.3.2 also, and release  
1.3.3 and 1.2.6 together in a relatively short time, like 3-4 weeks?
