[atl2-test] Dual Boot: failure due behavior

Hi!

I'm a proud user of the O.S. Slackware 12.1. All is fine here, when I 
just have to run on Slack. The problem starts when I have to change to 
Windows system: due some kind of instruction to "power off" or 
"hibernate", sent to atl2 windows just can't start his controler; 
instead, in order to get the controler running on it (windows), it's 
needed to power off the cpu directly from the mains (cut-off energy).

Any hint?

It's a known issue with certain motherboards.  I don't have a board that 
reproduces it, but Atheros is working on it.  They've recently become 
much more involved in upstream development, so I'm optimistic that we'll 
get a patch soon.

Greetings!

	I've ported atl2 to use the atlx code already in the upstream kernel, 
and the device initialization problems are mostly resolved.  I've posted 
a patch against 2.6.26 here:

	It's cosmetically a bit ugly, but it works on my EeePC 701.  Please let 
me know if you have problems.  I will be posting updated versions 
frequently as the code is cleaned up further.

Argh, now it's dying in various interesting ways.  If anyone has any 
ideas, please let me know.  I'll let you know when I've debugged it.

I will be backporting atlx to 2.6.18 as soon as atl2 support is merged 
into atlx upstream.  It appears that most of the device initialization 
issues with that merge have been resolved, so I'll be posting that Real 
Soon Now.
