I think that http://zyxel630-11.sourceforge.net/ is NOT a option , sorry.

I thik that it use a UnicornII chipset but I don't know about it.

aurelio should be right
Load A1012-A1006-A904-A888-A983-0.9.3.tgz from
http://www.bewan.com/bewan/drivers/

then tar zxf A1012-A1006-A904-A888-A983-0.9.3.tgz

go to unicorn/unicorn_usb/unicorn_usbdrv.c
There you would need to change in unicorn_usb_ids to add one line for your
modem
It could be (but unsure)
{ USB_DEVICE(0x0483, 0x0138),driver_info: 20174} // ZXDSL 852 STMicro
version

Then you would need to compile and install the usb atm module and test this
solution.

Can't connect via my ZXDSL 852 Modem

my isp : Algerie Telecom (easy-Adsl)
Modem USB : ZXDSL 852 (Date: Juin 2006 by ZTE Corporation)
OS: Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy
Since two months i i'm trying to solve this problem (connecting via my usb
modem ZXDSL 852 producted in juin 2006 by ZTE company)
i ve checked and tried many tutors in :

Note that there's more than ZXDSL 852 Model you could make a search in
google ! and as a friend told me your modem is newer one.the strange that
someone lived in the same country but as i think he has a different modem as
i said

so when i did lsusb i got:
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0483:0138 SGS Thomson Microelectronics
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

& when he did lsusb, he got:
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0572:cb00 Conexant Systems (Rockwell), Inc. E-Tech
ADSL Modem v2

so the ID isn't the same!despite they 're ZTE ZXDSL 852 the both!

first check that your modem is really one with a Conexant chipset.
You could look at the .inf file in the windows driver or open the modem and
find the adsl chip.
If there is Cnx somewhere, cxacru driver may work.
Then you would need to add the new ID in the driver like it is indicated for
0572:cb00 for kernel before 2.6.19 as in 2.6.19 only 0572:cb00 ID were added
and not 0483:0138
Then you could hope it work following the tutorial.

cxacru-export-detailed-device-info-through-sysfs-updated.patch (adds stat=
s to the usb_endpoint's dir in sysfs)
usbatm-create-sysfs-link-device-from-atm-class-device.patch
usbatm-create-sysfs-link-device-from-atm-class-device-tidy.patch (adds a =
symlink from class/atm/cxacruN/ to the usb device)
timer-run-calc_load-halfway-through-each-round_jiffies.patch (fixes a loa=
d average calculation problem with the timing used)

I would apciate reports of this working/not working (particularly for =
negative snr margin values which I can't easily test myself) along with P=
CI IDs and the output of adsl_controller_version if available to: cxacru =
<at> fire <dot> lp0 <dot> eu.
