I should note that SMW 1.2 of course is not untested, but was used on many
sites already for quite some time (we see that in our SMW-Registry). But you
always get further feedback when an official release is out. The update note
I had to send was entirely due to my personal error in forgetting to change a
single, unfortunately important, configuration setting. So its not a
proper "bug" that one would note in terms of any failures in the wiki but
just something I did wrong in final release packaging.
In the end, we weighted the options and decided that it would be useful to
have 1.2 released before Wikimania next week. The 1.2 release had already
been delayed due to various factors, but we did want to get it out not just
one day before getting on a plane to Egypt ;-)
