Question: Any progress on the development of the Django DB2 database=20
back-end?=20

 I would be happy to see this happen for some reasons, like for example=20
the replacement of Groovy scripts (use of clean "pythonic" style syntax),=20
REST/JSON  support, DOJO toolkit support and others The Jython language=20
has proven robustness and Django delivers an MVC structure for  the=20
scripting world. A plus is its portability and performance under the Java=20
JVM 6. Another point I really like about Django: it has a good=20
documentation. In summary, Django and Jython  is a promising solution for=20
quick web application development.=20

Times in times "googling" news about this concept, but for now its still=20
an idea !=20

That's not going to be as straightforward as the PostgreSQL backend,
but shouldn't be extremely hard either. You can take a look at the
PostgreSQL backend sources (from django-jython) for inspiration. As
you can imagine, we'd be happy to include an Oracle backend on the
django-jython project.
