That does make things more interesting. I'm sure there are people out there that can type fast enough to saturate 9600 bps. I may be one of them. Most of the pasting I do (out of necessity) is through either Terminal.app or PuTTY, although GPM pastes at full speed as well.
I haven't used screen in ages. Does it intentionally slow the paste speed down?
