So I have the Overo Air connected to my linux laptop with the mini-b to Standard A cable.. And I've run into a frustrating problem. While I was able to connect to my WEP secured wifi at home, at my university there is a problem, and I had thought of a convoluted solution.
At my university, the internet access is open. You can join the network, but then you must login, in a web browser, with your university credentials. I had thought of the following solution: put lynx on the gumstix, record a script of me visiting the access page and putting in my username and password, and then run that script when I need to connect to the University internet.
But the problem is.. Without internet, I can't put lynx or anything else on the gumstix. I don't have a mini-sd card either. All I have is this USB connection. I read this page but since minicom/zmodem/whatever the program is doesn't seem to be installed on the gumstix, I'm out of luck.
What is installed on the Overo that can help me? I've run opkg list_installed and have spent around a half hour looking through it, but if there's something there, I can't see it.
Thanks in advance,
Amanda Phelps
