iperf was developed by NLANR/DAST as a modern alternative for measuring maximum TCP and UDP bandwidth performance. Iperf allows the tuning of various parameters and UDP characteristics. Iperf reports bandwidth, delay jitter, and datagram loss. iperf version 2 (in this repository) is no longer maintained by its original developers. Current ESnet development efforts are focused on version 3 of iperf (otherwise known as iperf3), which is available at: https://github.com/esnet/iperf http://software.es.net/iperf Meanwhile, a third party has taken up development and maintenance of iperf2. fping is a program to send ICMP echo probes to network hosts, similar to ping, but much better performing when pinging multiple hosts. fping has a very long history: Roland Schemers did publish a first version of it in 1992 and it has established itself since then as a standard tool for network diagnostics and statistics. There was no official fping release from 2002 until end of 2011. Various patches existed, but were never integrated "upstream". Also, the official maintainer didn't answer emails, so I decided to just step up and take over maintenanceship.To mark this change of maintenance, and avoid confusion, I decided to call it version 3. Besides a new maintainer, fping now also features a completely rewritten main loop implementation which improves performance significantly. The run time is now close to the theoretical time required to send and receive the pings under the specified parameters.

Scan for WiFi devices, block selected connections, create dozens of networks and confuse WiFi scanners! Version 3 is in development. It is stable to use, but it is very different. It is command-line based, which allows it to offer not just more features, but make them more customizable. This software allows you to easily perform a variety of actions to test 802.11 wireless networks by using an inexpensive ESP8266 WiFi SoC (System On A Chip). The main feature, the deauthentication attack, is used to disconnect devices from their WiFi network. No one seems to care about this huge vulnerability in the official 802.11 WiFi standard, so I took action and enabled everyone who has less than 10 USD to spare to recreate this project. I hope it raises more attention on the issue. In 2009 the WiFi Alliance actually fixed the problem (see 802.11w), but only a few companies implemented it into their devices and software.

YAJSW is an Apache licensed pure java alternative for tanuki java service wrapper. It implements a multitude of additional functions and can be easily extended with groovy scripts. JSW configurations can be easily ported.

ZMap is a fast single packet network scanner designed for Internet-wide network surveys. On a typical desktop computer with a gigabit Ethernet connection, ZMap is capable scanning the entire public IPv4 address space in under 45 minutes. With a 10gigE connection and PF_RING, ZMap can scan the IPv4 address space in under 5 minutes. ZMap operates on GNU/Linux, Mac OS, and BSD. ZMap currently has fully implemented probe modules for TCP SYN scans, ICMP, DNS queries, UPnP, BACNET, and can send a large number of UDP probes. If you are looking to do more involved scans, e.g., banner grab or TLS handshake, take a look at ZGrab 2, ZMap's sister project that performs stateful application-layer handshakes. ZDNS is a utility for performing fast DNS lookups, such as completing an A lookup for all names in a zone file, or collecting CAA records for a large number of websites. ZDNS contains its own recursive resolver and supports A, AAAA, ANY, AXFR, CAA, CNAME, DMARC, MX, NS, PTR, TXT, etc.

S3cmd is a free command line tool and client for uploading, retrieving and managing data in Amazon S3 and other cloud storage service providers that use the S3 protocol, such as Google Cloud Storage. Lots of features and options have been added to s3cmd since its very first release in 2008.... we recently counted more than 60 command line options, including multipart uploads, encryption, incremental backup, s3 sync, ACL and Metadata management, S3 bucket size, bucket policies, and more!

UFTP is an encrypted multicast file transfer program, designed to securely, reliably, and efficiently transfer files to multiple receivers simultaneously. This is useful for distributing large files to a large number of receivers, and is especially useful for data distribution over a satellite link (with two way communication), where the inherent delay makes any TCP based communication highly inefficient. The multicast encryption scheme is based on TLS with extensions to allow multiple receivers to share a common key. UFTP also has the capability to communicate over disjoint networks separated by one or more firewalls (NAT traversal) and without full end-to-end multicast capability (multicast tunneling) through the use of a UFTP proxy server. These proxies also provide scalability by aggregating responses from a group of receivers.

Crack Wi-Fi networks that are secured using weak passwords. It is not exhaustive, but it should be enough information for you to test your own network's security or break into one nearby. Begin by listing wireless interfaces that support monitor mode. If you do not see an interface listed then your wireless card does not support monitor mode. Start listening to 802.11 Beacon frames broadcast by nearby wireless routers using your monitor interface. WPA/WPA2 uses a 4-way handshake to authenticate devices to the network. You don't have to know anything about what that means, but you do have to capture one of these handshakes in order to crack the network password. These handshakes occur whenever a device connects to the network. The final step is to crack the password using the captured handshake. If you have access to a GPU, it is highly recommended to use hashcat for password cracking.

Conky is a free, light-weight system monitor for X, that displays any kind of information on your desktop. Conky is free software and runs in X on Linux and BSD. Originally a fork of Torsmo, Conky's torsmo-based code is BSD licensed. New code in Conky has been licensed under GPL 3.0. Since its inception, Conky has changed significantly from its predecessor, while maintaining simplicity and configurability. Conky can display just about anything, either on your root desktop, in its own window. Not only does Conky have many built-in objects, it can also display just about any piece of information by using scripts and other external programs. A plethora of OS stats (uname, uptime, CPU usage, mem usage, disk usage, "top" like process stats, and network monitoring, just to name a few). Conky can display information either as text, or using simple progress bars and graph widgets, with different fonts and colours.

Prometheus is a leading open source systems and service monitoring solution. It works by collecting metrics from configured targets at given intervals, evaluating rule expressions, and then displaying the results. It can also signal an alert if a condition is observed to be true. What sets Prometheus apart from other monitoring systems is its highly dimensional data model, powerful query language, autonomous single server nodes, among many other distinguishing features. It also offers several client libraries for easy instrumentation of services, as well as many integration options.

Serial Studio is a simple, multi-platform, and multi-purpose serial data visualization program that allows embedded developers to visualize, analyze, and present data generated from their projects and devices while avoiding the need to write project-specific visualization software. Over my many CanSat-based competitions, I found myself writing and maintaining several Ground Station software for each program. However, I decided that it would be easier and more sustainable to define one flexible Ground Station Software that lets developers define how each CanSat presents data using an extensible communication protocol for easy data visualization. Developers can also use Serial Studio for almost any data acquisition and visualization project outside of CanSat, now supporting data retrieval from hardware serial ports, software serial ports, MQTT, and network sockets (TCP/UDP). frp stands for exactly what it is: a fast reverse proxy. It helps you expose a local server behind a NAT or firewall to the Internet. It is currently under development, but already supports TCP and UDP, as well as HTTP and HTTPS protocols where requests can be forwarded to internal services by domain name. It also has a P2P connect mode and many other nifty features. These include configuration files, environment variables, a dashboard that shows you frp's status and proxies' statistics information, an Admin UI that helps you check and manage frpc's configuration, and many others.

A network tool to control the bandwidth over your local network, it can block internet access from any selected device, or limit its speed using packet redirection, in addition, it can log web activity for the targeted device using a built-in packet sniffer. Bandwidth limitation for better distribution of internet speed across devices, both upload and download speeds can be controlled for each device separately. A Packet Sniffer that is intended to log addresses that each device on the network visits with the ability to decode Http headers for HTTP packets and resolve domains for HTTPS packets, also the packet direction can be chosen in order to capture requests only or requests and responses.
