SourceForge.net 2009 Community Choice Awards Nomination Help

Use this form to nominate your favorite projects for the SourceForge.net 2009 Community Choice Awards. The projects with the most nominations in each category will become finalists. We designed the nomination process to be simple, but here’s some basic help in case it’s not as intuitive as we’d hoped.

Project URL - Enter the URL of the project you wish to nominate. We’re going to use this value to uniquely identify your project, so remember to use its topmost URL. For example, if you wanted to nominate the Linux Kernel, you would enter http://kernel.org.

Project Name - Enter the name of the project you are nominating. If you have entered the URL for a project that’s hosted here on SourceForge, this will be filled in for you. If you enter a project that has already been nominated by someone else, you’ll see the name that they entered. If you don’t think the name is right, though, you can always change it.

Select Category - You can nominate a project in one or more categories. Pick the category that you think is most appropriate for the project to win. If you think the project should be nominated to win multiple categories, simply click on the “Add Category” button and make another selection.

It’s easy to nominate multiple projects, simply click the “nominate another project” link.

If you’re not logged in to SourceForge.net, you’ll have to provide us with something to prove that you’re a real person. This can be your SourceForge.net account information, or, if you don’t have an account on SourceForge, you can give us your email address.
If you choose to prove your humanity with an email address, we promise not to use it for anything except for a quick email with a link you can use to confirm your nomination.

That’s it, nice and simple. Don’t forget to share your nominations with friends through your favorite social network! The more nominations your favorite projects get, the more likely they are to win fame, glory, and prestige through the SourceForge Community Choice Awards.
