This week, we have another list of great projects featured on the front page. I was travelling yesterday, and so didn’t get this post up. Please have a look at these great projects.

  • PNotes

    PNotes is light-weight, flexible, skinnable manager of virtual notes on your desktop. It supports multiple languages, individual note’s settings, transparency and scheduling. Absolutely portable as well – no traces in registry.

  • JXplorer – A Java Ldap Browser

    A free java ldap client with LDIF support, security (inc SSL, SASL & GSSAPI), translated into many languages (inc. Chinese), online help, user forms and many other features. Support at: jxplorer-users@lists.sourceforge.net or: http://jxplorer.org

  • TORCS – The Open Racing Car Simulator

    TORCS, The Open Racing Car Simulator is a highly portable multi platform car racing simulation. It is used as ordinary car racing game, as AI racing game and as research platform. It runs on Linux (x86, AMD64 and PPC), FreeBSD, OpenSolaris, MacOSX and Windows.

  • The OpenGL Extension Wrangler Library

    The OpenGL Extension Wrangler Library is a simple tool that helps C/C++ developers initialize extensions and write portable applications. GLEW currently supports a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Darwin, Irix, and Solaris.

  • SABnzbdPlus

    SABnzbd is a cross-platform binary newsreader. It makes downloading from Usenet easy by automating the whole thing. You give it an NZB file or an RSS feed, it does the rest. Has a web-browser based UI and an API for 3rd-party apps. Ideal for servers too.

  • PyQt

    PyQt is the Python bindings for Digia’s Qt cross-platform application development framework. It supports Python v2 and v3 and Qt v4 and Qt v5. PyQt is available under the GPL and commercial licenses. The Sourceforge project is the repository for the GPL source and binary packages.

  • Openfiler

    Openfiler is a browser-based network storage management utility. Linux-powered, Openfiler delivers file-based Network Attached Storage (NAS) and block-based SAN in a single framework. It supports CIFS, NFS, HTTP/DAV, FTP, and iSCSI.

  • MediathekView

    Das Programm durchsucht die Mediathek verschiedener Sender (ARD, ZDF, Arte, 3Sat, MDR, NDR, ORF, SF), lädt Beiträge mit einem Programm eigener Wahl und kann Sendungen als Abos verwalten. Es können damit auch Podcast verwaltet werden.
