Foreword

In the tables below, you will find some "codes" describing features of the cars :

• Engine column : capacity (in liters), cylinders layout (V, H, L, W, ...), and number of cylinders (4 to 12),
• Layout column : a 2 or 3-letter code giving :
  • last letter : the driving wheels (F = forward, R = rear, 4 = four-wheel),
  • first 1 or 2 letters : the position of the engine in the car (F = forward, FM = forward middle, M = mid, RM = rear mid, R = rear).

TRB1

This class of cars contains the original seven TRB1 cars from TORCS, plus the all-new Vieringe 5RB. They are ultra-super-hyper-modified silhouettes of their original counterparts, and it shows, with insane top speeds of nearly 330+ km/h, and 500+ bhp. Their real-life class counterpart could be SuperGT's GT500 class, or the DTM cars (though even the wildest TRB1 car isn't quite as crazy with canards and other aero bits as DTMs).

Supercars

A class of cars meant to introduce rookie drivers into Speed Dreams. This was originally an add-on car set for TORCS, but has been reworked from the ground up with improved physics and improved car balancing, as well as being the class with the fewest adjustable parameters. Their real-life class counterpart is the FIA GT4 European Championship... although these cars have far more limited adjustability. This class is the heaviest of all, and contains the heaviest (but far from the slowest) car of the entire game : the Lynx 220.

Longday Sportscar 1

Modeled after the real-world GT1 class, the Longday Sportscar 1 class (LS1) features top-end sports cars modified for endurance racing. These cars make close to 635 horsepower and weigh in at 1250 kilograms without a driver. Their heavy weight, thanks to massive 6.0+ litre (6000 ccm) engines, make them challenging to drive. Experts only.

1936 Grand Prix

A blast from the past, this class contains cars from the pre-World War II era of Grand Prix racing. Low traction, the utmost basic of technology, massive engines, no electronic assists, and... NO SEATBELTS. Some changes were made however, to ensure the cars are still drivable (the LS1s are more difficult to control).
