If you download a car for Speed Dreams (or TORCS), use the following steps to install it:

• create a new folder in the speed-dreams/cars directory
• copy all files from the car into the new folder
• rename the new folder to correspond with the .XML file of the car (without the trailing .xml of course). If there are more than one XML files, one of them (should be obvious from the name) must go into the speed-dreams/categories directory

The car now should be selectable when starting up Speed Dreams.

If it still doesn't work, it could be that the appropriate category file is missing (TORCS used other names & Speed Dreams changed some) so in this case you should open the XML file of the car and search for the category string. The entry behind it needs to have a counterpart in the speed-dreams/categories directory. If not, change the entry between the quotes to fit the entries in the categories folder (e.g. changing "Offroad-4WD-GrA" to "RS" etc.)
