User Mail Aliases
Each registered user on SourceForge.net is provided an email alias (in the form firstname.lastname@example.org) that forwards mail to the email address on-file for each account.
Changing an email address
To update the email address for an account, log in to SourceForge.net. Select the Account Options link from the Personal Page. Update the address by selecting the [Change email address] link in the Account Preferences section.
On the Email address changes are synchronized to the mail servers roughly once per minute.
If a user account is removed from SourceForge.net, the mail alias for that account is removed.
Mail alias issues should be reported to SourceForge.net staff.
Accessing Mail Sent to Your Mail Alias
Email sent to this alias will automatically be silently forwarded to the private email address on-file for your account.
Mail sent to your email alias will not be stored for retrieval from SourceForge.net servers. SourceForge.net does not provide POP3 or IMAP service. All email sent to the mail alias will be forwarded to the private email address on file for each account, where it can be retrieved using a mail client.
Issues with accessing your mail should be directed to the email service provider.
