Diary and notes
Before blogs were widespread, SourceForge.net had a simple per-user Diary and Notes feature. Modern blogging tools provide greater leeway in the way you publish and format your content; posts can readily be syndicated to other sites (such as your project web site or to aggregation services where you get widespread readership). Rather than using the Diary and Notes tool, we encourage project developers to consider one of the blogging options we provide in our Hosted Apps offering.
