Ticket #927 (closed: fixed)
Filters: sourceforge search results, display options are exclusive

Just reporting an observation.. you can't display a search result and view 100 items sorted by downloads. It reverts back to sorted by Relevance.
For example I see the following url after selecting 'Display 100 items':
If you click the drop-down control for how many search items to be shown per page beside the "View" label and select 100 items the page reloads and displays 100 items or so showing the above url. That's good.
If you wish to see the list now sorted by number of downloads and click the Downloads button.. the list is sorted but reverts back to 10 items.
Now if you click for 100 items.. the list becomes unsorted.. or at least sorted to the default field "Relevance" again, displaying 100 items. This was repeated.

Observed with Iceweasel 3.0.6 and Epiphany 'Web Browser 2.22.3'
In Iceweasel, if the string "&sort=num_downloads" is manually..( well.. using a mouse), pasted into the URL after selecting display of 100.. then the desired two display options are interpreted correctly. Subsequent sorts then work maintaining 100 results. It may be that a cookie has been established or a var at the server.
The url now looks like:
The display 100 parameter is not showing in the URL now, though it is being executed.
Rechecking with Epiphany.. it still demonstrates the 'exclusive or' behaviour that selecting 'display 100 results'.. results in 100 items sorted by Relevance and subsequent selection of 'sort by downloads' reduces displayed results to 10 items sorted by Downloads.
Thanks! The web site is great.. I've used it many times and appreciate the unseen hard work that goes into it.
